Follow-through

Waiting on a reply? Your AI keeps track.

The question you asked last week, the thing you promised, the reply that never came. Tell your assistant to keep an eye on it, and it is there, tied to the conversation it came from, the next time you ask what needs you.

The short answer

How do I keep track of follow-ups from AI conversations?

Ask your assistant to track it: a question someone owes you, a request, a reply you are waiting for. RelayLink keeps it attached to the message it came from. When you come back and ask what needs attention, you get what is still open, what is due and what is new.

How it works

Out of your head, still in sight.

  1. Say what to keep an eye on

A question someone owes you, a request, a reply you are waiting for. Your assistant tracks it against the message it came from.

  2. Snooze it until it matters

“Remind me after Friday” keeps it out of the way until then.

  3. Ask what needs you

When you come back, one question gets the list: what you are waiting on, what is due and what has arrived.

What you would say

  • “Track the question about broken tools.”
  • “I’m waiting on Pam for the budget.”
  • “Remind me about this after Friday.”
  • “What needs my attention?”
  • “The budget question is answered. Close it.”

The details

What it does, and what it doesn’t.

What it does

  • Tracks questions, requests and replies against the message they came from.
  • Holds a reminder until the time you set, then shows it when you are back.
  • Tells you which conversations are waiting on you and which are waiting on someone else.
  • Keeps what you track private. The other person is not notified.

What it doesn’t do

  • Email you reminders or send push notifications.
  • Start your AI on its own or run anything in the background.
  • Chase the other person. A follow-up is a message you approve, like any other.
  • Treat a reply as a yes. Closing an item is something you do.

Questions

What people ask, answered.

Will RelayLink email me a reminder?

No. Reminders appear when you come back to RelayLink or ask a connected assistant what is new. Nothing is emailed, and no AI session starts on its own.

Does the other person see what I’m tracking?

No. Tracking is your own note about a conversation. They are not told, and it never appears on their side.

How do I follow up without nagging?

Ask your assistant to draft a follow-up that asks one clear thing, with the context needed to answer it. You approve it before it goes, like any message.

What happens when the reply I’m waiting for arrives?

It shows up among your new replies, beside the item you were tracking. You decide whether it answers the question, then close the item or keep it open.

Can I track something from a message someone sent me?

Yes. Point your assistant at the question or request in any message in your conversations, and it is tracked from there.

Can I see everything still open on a project?

Yes. Ask what is still open, for everything or for one conversation or project, and you get the list with where each item came from.
